Honda CR-Z Hybrid Racer Coming to Le Mans, France

Although no Japanese car maker has become a serious opponent in Le Mans for several years, most want to take advantage of their past success there. Mazda has taken something back to the early 90's, announced that Patrick Dempsey will drive the prototype 787B from 1991 during the show at 24. Now it's time to see what Honda has in mind!

Latest news from the front of Honda motorsport is that Japanese companies will campaign race car hybrid CR-Z car in the second annual Le Mans Le futur vers, which translates to 'Le Mans for the Future' - a suitable name for the race involves a hybrid. Basically, this is where the prototype could represent the future of racing that will be displayed.

CR-Z car is a vehicle that was developed by Honda Performance Development (HPD), uses the same body as the car road-trip, while the performance of hybrid power train has been encouraged to provide 200 hp to the front wheels via 6-speed manual gearbox. The extra oomph comes from the turbocharger that has escaped into the engine four-cylinder 1.5-liter.
