First Electric Car Can We Raft Alone at Home

London - Birmingham City University and Westfield Sports cars are working together to develop the first electric car that can be assembled at home.

During this time an electric car is always considered as a sophisticated car that not everyone can assemble. However, they made dielectric cars could be assembled themselves in the garage.

The car was not an ordinary car. Therefore, the car named iRacer this is a race car. This car will also be racing in the class sports EVclass at EV Cup race series.

Although it can be assembled at home, this car is a true race car. Because that's not surprising that the completeness of the usual car on public roads - like a mirror, for example - does not exist.

Quoted from gizmag, Thursday (14/03/2013) when viewed at a glance, the feel of racing is very thick felt with a length of 3.6 meters and a width of about half a meter sastu. While it weighs only 770 kg which makes it only slightly heavier than a Formula 1 car

The heart of the car is supported by a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 23 kWh of energy, which should be able to bring this car to race about 25 minutes.

There are two electric motors that drive the rear wheels of this car, each of which has a power of 100 kW or 132 hp at 2000 rpm with 400 Nm of torque that can continuously be felt until the peak torque of 750 m.

Acceleration from rest to 100 km / h can be achieved in just 5 seconds. Even so, the power of the electric motor is limited to the car to accelerate the car to a speed of 185 km / h. But if not restricted, the speed between 205-220 km / h can be achieved.
