Chrysler 300 & Dodge Charger Have 8-Speed Transmission


Michigan-Chrysler carmaker to make something use new technological breakthrough with on the new model. Manufacturers from the United States will support the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger 2012 model 3.6 liter engine V6 VVT Pentastar is juxtaposed with eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new transmission is planned to be prepared to replace the five-speed transmission which is the old model of Mercedes-Benz. This transmission has an advantage in suppressing the consumption of fuel to make it more efficient.

New transmission, dubbed 845RE is the result of design and manufactured by ZF, the transmission of German specialists. ZF is also a lot of work on high-tech transmissions for famous car brands such as BMW, Audi, Bentley, Range Rover, and Rolls-Royce.

Although today such transmission produced by ZF, the future of Chrysler would make its own eight-speed transmission system in Kokomo, based transmission plant in Indiana.
