Chevrolet Malibu 2013 Ascertained Use 2.5L Ecotec Engine


DETROIT - General Motors is designing the Chevrolet Malibu 2013. GM will take off Malibu in all major markets and 100 countries worldwide.

Engine lineup will likely vary in each country. Chevrolet Malibu 2013 will emphasize the economic value on the highway. Expected to consume more than 30mpg, or about 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers.

General Motors Malibu engine detailing detail using the all-new 2.5-liter four-cylinder Ecotec. This machine takes the details from the old 2.4-liter model. Expected to produce 190 horsepower and peak torque of 180 lb-ft (250nm).

"2.5L engine provides more torque at low rpm while. This makes the Malibu is stronger at the beginning or during the opening maneuver," said Mike Anderson GM engineering chief.
